I will not buy or use single-use, disposable sweeper pads – wet or dry – since they create unnecessary household waste. I will buy and use reusable, washable sweeper pads instead to go zero waste.
When you’re done cleaning the floor of lint and dust, flip the sweeper pad so it’s facing up, then vacuum it. Most of what was captured is easily and quickly removed. Estimated annual saving from switching to reusable, washable pads, which cost about $12 for two, is $50.
